It’s rare to see landscaping as a prominent feature of a shopping center. Tiger Town accomplished it beautifully.
Tiger Town Lifestyle Center is part of a multi-phase retail project located in southeastern Alabama between Opelika and Auburn. The center derives its name from the Auburn Tiger mascot and is reflected by numerous tiger statues located throughout the facility. Tiger Town exhibits a level of finishes indicative of a high-end lifestyle center.
The lower portion of the exterior is CMU banded with precast stone. Upper levels feature a brick and EIFS façade, EIFS and EIFS cornice work. The center features extensive landscaping and hardscapes.
Phase I of Tiger Town commenced in 2002 and opened in 2003. Major anchor tenants are Petco, Old Navy, Books-A-Million, TJ Maxx, Best Buy, Ross, and Office Depot. Soon after the successful opening on Phase 1, Stewart Perry was selected for Phases 2, 3, and 4. This included the addition of a 140,000 sf Target, a Dick’s Sporting Goods, Bed Bath & Beyond, Ulta Cosmetics as well as other retail space.
Overall, the project consists of 28 buildings constructed on 60 acres of development which includes 578,000 s.f. of building space.
