Strange indeed. We are all facing this same trifecta, a worldwide pandemic with severe health implications, crippling markets and now oil wars to top it off. I got to thinking about my own parents and others who spent a decade scratching out a living after the Depression, then they had to fight a world war from which many never returned. All we are being asked to do is obey guidelines to flatten the curve along with other challenges which we will meet head on.

Early this morning, as I drank my coffee and the sun was rising, I watched this video. In fact, I watched it several times and it brought me some cheer after a tough 10 days. Frecce Tricolori, the Italian Air Force display team, created a 3-color smoke trail representing the Italian flag. The video is set to Giacomo Puccini’s Nessa Dorma, performed by Italian opera great Luciano Pavarotti. The final lyrics are, “Vanish o’ night. Set stars!
