The funny thing about time is that the older you get, the faster it seems to pass one by. I read a post the other day that really stuck with me. The gist is that we are always talking about the “afters” in life. I’ll pick up this hobby after things slow down a little at work. Or I’ll travel after I get a break in my schedule. Unfortunately, after can quickly turn into never.
Circumstances change. Maybe our kids get older or our parents are gone. While we were waiting, some of the best opportunities, experiences and memories have passed us by. I’ve made a commitment to myself to focus more on the nows in life. I want to be more present and enjoy all the things around me I have to thankful for. I’m learning that when it comes to living fully, there’s no better time than now.
