In the business world, “success” can be a tricky thing. I’ve discovered that success can be hard to quantify and easy to lose. At best, it’s a sliding scale or a point in time. Still, many of us are striving for our own version success. This could mean goals and timelines met. Money made. An image solidified. But perhaps we are going about it all wrong.
I recently read an article arguing that we should embrace a mindset where things are always changing, and imperfection is an opportunity for improvement. Maybe the goal isn’t perfection, rather a steady state of betterment.
For us, I have always viewed perfection in anything we do as a worthy goal. At the same time, we know it can easily slip away if we are not mindful and true in the pursuit.
