On Christmas morning, my 21-year-old daughter, who is home from college, asked me and her sister if we had seen this video:
She said she had watched it several times, and I can see why. It’s a simple story of a family on Christmas day. There’s no dialogue, just music and “Happy Holidays” text at the very end, followed by a logo, which shows only for one second. Nothing more. Yet the presentation is warm and really connects to the heart and mind, making viewers feel good.
It takes a while to figure out that the video comes from a company. The message is more human–touching, simple and clear. There’s no “Merry Christmas, and by the way thanks for your business” or a picture of something related to getting more business. Just warm, clear and connecting.
To me, there is a message here for all of us. Maybe less should be more in all of our lives, especially during this time of year.
