We are in the unique (and good) position of having an established leadership team in the field and the office. These professionals know the business and they know our approach, and they are joined by a promising group of new talent. The only negative here is that we all can get set in our ways, me included. It’s easy for a person to focus on the way he or she has always done things–being process-oriented–rather than considering the good of our organization as a whole.

I’m convinced that the best way to keep moving forward is to constantly be reframing our thought process. Instead of focusing on what to change, maybe we should be looking at how we can change as individuals to meet the needs of the team as a whole. Of course, this is easier said than done. But the the heart of any organization is the people at its core. What better place to build something meaningful and new.
