“If only I knew then what I know now, I would have done things differently,” is probably something many of us have said more often than we wish to admit. In my own life, I have at times found myself so concentrated in the future, that I have had a tendency to forget about the learning experiences of the “now.” Looking ahead is worthwhile, but not at the expense of the opportunities that may lay at ones feet today.
Here are three things I have seen successful people do in their careers.
Seek out what you appreciate about your current career and make that your focus.
Work hard today. The actions you take today are the first step in realizing your dreams for tomorrow.
Fight back against worry. Don’t miss out on the present because you are fretting about tomorrow. After all, worry has never accomplished anything.
Every day, good or bad and even the most mundane, is a learning opportunity for the future.
