One of the best things about a long-term customer relationship is the opportunity to grow, change and adapt with them. We’ve been building with the Target team for more 3 decades now and during this time, our retail division has built many of their store formats. There have been Super Targets, one-of-kind stores, remodels and “right-sized” design in tight urban spaces to name a few.

Next year we will be starting 3 more of their newest format, which are 20% larger than the average current store, totaling 150,000 square feet.  So what will they do with the extra square footage? Target is adding about 5 times more space for fulfillment of online orders and better areas for team members to relax between assisting customers. There will be more natural light, warm, local materials like plants and wood, and a focus on sustainability throughout. All these things are part of our culture as well.

The “NorthStar” will better support omni-channel shopping and same day services, matching the way shopping has evolved with the advent of e-commerce. We’re proud to be on this journey with our customer, being nimble as they pivot with customer needs.
