Mixed-use construction is an opportunity to blend multiple platforms into a single space, fostering convenience and community. These projects can maximize the potential of a property and often focus on equitable and sustainable land use. In many cases, we are shaping a walkable and vibrant neighborhood where place-making is at the heart of design and functionality.

Dolly Ridge

In the heart of Cahaba Heights, space is at a premium. This new neighborhood convenience center shares a sidewalk with the elementary school and is just steps away from the community’s shopping district, making it the perfect location for added amenities.
On Dolly Ridge Road, a heavily trafficked connector linking Cahaba Heights with Highway 280, developers have thoughtfully planned the tenant mix, providing the most needed resources to the community. In this case, the lot was small, but the opportunity was great. The uniquely shaped building conforms to the deep lot, maximizing visibility from the street and also making the best use of the property space. We were able to bring a new restaurant to the neighborhood, along with a primary care physician’s office. The remainder of the building is made up of traditional office space.
